Mother's Federal Hill Grille -
1113 S. Charles St. - Baltimore (Federal Hill)
Report this commentMother’s installed two tables with kegerators so you and your group can pour your own draft beers. The catch? 90 ounces or five pints in, the system controlling the tap refuses service - no matter how many one-dollar bills you wave at it or how many times you tell it it's attractive. To get the tap to dispense what you need, you have to get your server to turn it on again. I'm planning on playing bartender to my table at Mother's Wednesday night. I'll let you know if the novelty beats full-service bartending in a future post.

Report this commentNostalgic for a field trip crush? Go to the National Aquarium 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday night for Date Night. Free of kids and crowds for an adult after-hours event, Date Night promises wine from local wineries, finger foods, live music and plenty of dark hallways for fish-lovers who like-like each other to tongue kiss. For reservations, call 410-727-3474 Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets cost $35 for members; $60 for non-members.
