For a GREAT Time Out on Thursday!!!
I hate the hustle and bustle and the crowds that come out on a weekend. Give me a good Thursday (or Wednesday or Tuesday) anytime.

Sluggers Sports Bar & Dueling Pianos -
3540 N. Clark St. - Chicago (Wrigleyville)
Report this commentI found this place late one night after a Cubs game. I left the game after the middle of the eighth (to try to avoid the crowds). No such luck! So I took refuge in one of my favorite spots; The Wild Hare and Singing Armadillo Bar (The best Raggae Bar in Chicago). After about an hour there, I headed next door to Sluggers; which I had never been to before. The downstairs bar was friendly and inviting, but just to crowded. I headed upstairs. To my delight I found the Dueling Piano Show going at about 3/4 speed (they were winding down after a long evening, it was almost Closing). At 3/4 speed, the crowd was still jumpin and having a great time (singing together, girls on top of the piano, etc.). I know next time I'm anywhere near Clark and Addison. Sluggers will be my FIRST STOP!!!

Getting ready for comfort food season
As the weather cools down, area dishes heat up. Here's where I'll be hunkering down.
under the bus
here are food items i'd toss my grandmother under a bus to get! (well, maybe not. i'd at least have to think about it for a minute. sorry, grandma.)
Restaurant Week is back!
I'm a sucker for a dining deal, even if it is a bit of a gimmick once it's all said and done. Here's where I'll be:
