This year, Miss USA will be crowned live from the suitably classy Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

In honor of this most auspicious of televised events, we’ve assembled a gallery of our dozen favorite female 'state-estants'—first in their evening gowns, and then in nothin’ but their swimsuits, sashes and Vaseline-intensified smiles.
