6. William Banks, 'The Cleaner'

No, it’s not a TV adaptation of that Cedric the Entertainer movie you didn't see. This summer’s new A&E drama “The Cleaner” finds lead William Banks (Benjamin Bratt) making amends for years of addiction by becoming an “extreme interventionist” (sadly, not yet an Olympic sport).

Details over what his addiction actually was are foggy, and the plot sounds a lot like something you’d hear from a guest on a very special “Oprah,” but if this show makes a go of it, William’s backslide into drugs seems inevitable. Fingers crossed!
