10. President Laura Roslin, 'Battlestar Galactica'

In the world of "Battlestar Galactica," the human race has conquered interstellar colonization, created artificial life, and uses light speed travel like four-wheel drive. Cancer, however, remains an incurable thorn in its side, so President Laura Roslin has to suck a sweet, hallucinogenic concentration of Chamalla just to get through her painful treatments.

Some type of ambiguous space weed or opiate, Chamalla makes the prez talk to herself, fantasize about her looming death and dream of stealing robot babies (seriously). She won't be using for long though; her days, like the show's, are numbered.
