7. Walter White, 'Breaking Bad'

Where “Breaking Bad” is a lot like “Weeds,” crystal meth isn’t a whole lot like pot. And that makes this show pretty scary. Walter’s desperation over his diagnosis with terminal lung cancer, along with his vast knowledge of chemistry, prompted him to start brewing meth for extra cash. Unfortunately, the über shady clientele and heavy D.E.A. presence in his town make things very difficult.

There’s a reason “Breaking Bad” is the only meth-related show on television: Hollywood suffers from a startling shortage of toothless actors.
