Did you really think Metromix was without a moral compass? OK, so we might not have morals, but we definitely have a compass. We still know our way around the city and must have a damned good sense of direction if we've found these restaurants for your dining pleasure. Drinking isn't our only specialty here at Metromix. We've also mastered orienteering for this special occasion.
Birches

Birches

You'll find four star cuisine, gourmet butter and allusions to the poetry of Robert Frost on the corner of Fleet and Montford. Not to mention their crabby ass frites and potential to join the baked potato club.

Chameleon Cafe

Chameleon Cafe

It's a date. We're taking you to Beverly Hills and you're ordering fried green tomatoes and steak Baltimore. We're going this Wednesday for 25-50 percent off bottles of wine. Pick you up at eight.

Jack's Bistro

pick Jack's Bistro

Get to Jack's on Robinson and Elliott on Thursday night and get $12 entrees like Guinness bistro tenderloin and sugar cane skewered beef with tomato-smashed or cumin-scented spuds. Jack knows his meat and potatoes, man.

Peter's Inn

Peter's Inn

504 S. Ann St., Baltimore
410-675-7313

X marks the spot. Peter's Inn and so is the verdict on this cozy joint which features creative cuisine like an open-faced soft shell crab BLT, blackened New Zealand lamb chops and blueberry pie with fresh whipped cream. Don't miss this delicious destination.

Salt

pick Salt

2127 E. Pratt St., Baltimore
410-276-5480

Follow the smells of duck fat French fries and bison and barbecue short rib meatloaf and you'll find yourself in Butchers Hill. You'll also find yourself in Metromix's mecca.

The Wine Market

The Wine Market

921 E. Fort Ave., Baltimore
410-244-6166

Monday night specials include 20 percent off entrees and more than 30 bottles of wine for $15. We'll get you there, you've got to get yourself home.

We've given you the down low on the destinations, it's up to you to traverse the terrain. Hey, they're trying to make orienteering an Olympic sport, so why not get out there and navigate.
