When we heard the words "pasta bar," we immediately envisioned a fast-paced pasta joint where we could customize our noodles with sauces and sides. With commercial places like Noodles & Company gaining popularity, though, the idea seemed a little unoriginal.
Thankfully, we were wrong. The title "pasta bar" does Grano no justice. Yes, there is a bar (sorry no alcohol, though), and of course there's pasta, but the vibe suggests home cooking. You'll find it refreshing to order authentic Italian that's somewhere between the extremes of cheap, greasy pizza parlor grub and bank-breaking fine dining.
While the tiny establishment pushes the charm factor into tacky territory, the staff and authentic Italian food are the restaurant's saving graces. Check out pics from our first visit to Grano, and see for yourself.
