Michelle's Café
Descripcion: We almost missed this little treat. At first glance, Michelle's appears to be just another coffee house—and it is, in some ways—but on closer inspection, we realized this is some sort of new hybrid coffee house-meets-taqueria. BLTs and cream cheese bagels sit beside tamales and quesadillas while lattes compete with champurrado (sort of like hot chocolate) for your attention.
Nacionalidad: Mexican
Hablan ingles?: Si
Dinero: $4-$8 and you'll be good to go. $2.99 will get you the delicious and unusual tacos arabes.
Especialidades: Michelle's specializes in tacos arabes, something you won't find in most local taquerias. It's basically a cross between a Middle Eastern shwarma and a burrito, with a slice of pineapple for good measure. It comes from Pueblo, Mexico where, historically, there has been a large Lebanese population.
