Dogs Plus
Bratwurst: $5.75
The pitch: We think hot dogs are as much baseball food as peanuts and Cracker Jack. That said, we feared our bratwurst with peppers selection would be viewed as a mortal sin. But, upon reflection, we feel we made the right choice. Few culinary experiences top the "snap" made when biting into a well-cooked brat. To our ears, the snap of the brat rivaled the crack of the bat (Seattle's bats only, as they took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third). The brat was cooked just right and was properly supported by its bun.
Full count? The brat was our favorite snack of the afternoon. Its relative affordability combined with the amount of belly real estate it takes up made the Dogs Plus brat the best value we found at Oriole Park.
Injury report: Our stomach is still going strong. Ain't nothing gonna slow us down. Oh no. Got to keep on eatin'.
