Steady mac'n: Mac & cheese wedges at JDs Smokehouse

Ingredients: Macaroni and cheese, deep fried into triangles, served on a bed of fries with spicy ranch dressing

Damage: $5.95

Skinny: The crispy exterior of these little babies made me love them in the same way I love onion rings or mozz sticks -- or pretty much anything that's deep fried. There's something about dipping and smothering stuff in greasy, fried fat molecules that makes it so good you'd risk your life to eat it. The wedges have plenty of flavor sans condiment, rendering the spicy ranch dressing unnecessary. My advice: just say no to dipping.--Jen Bunty
