Annapolis barbecue joint offers a taste of summer

While Punk's Backyard Grill opened Feb. 1, Baltimore Metromix was on hand for the official, buffet-style grand opening event on Feb. 19. Of course, we were ready to see (and taste!) what was cooking at the newest restaurant to join the outer edges of Westfield Annapolis Shopping Center. With napkins tucked into our shirts—because we're classy like that—we got into some great grilled foods and decadent desserts. It was like a little taste of summer in the middle of a cold, dreary winter. Even better? Unlike real backyard barbecues, there were no pesky bugs or extended family members crowding the potato salad. Sadly, there was no Slip 'n Slide, either, but some sacrifices had to be made.
