Bacon-wrapped scallops at Mother's Federal Hill Grille

Ingredients: "Tender" scallops wrapped in bacon and lathered in a warm barbecue sauce
Damage: $8.99 for four hefty scallops
Skinny: Once again, we are presented with a bifecta of bacon and scallops, done in true Mother's fashion—fried. There's something about fried bacon that sets one's heart aflutter. This could be signs of cardiac arrest, but we prefer to think that it's just sheer glee. Overly chewy scallops might have rendered this appetizer sub-par had it not been for the fatty cuts of super thick bacon lightly fried and drenched in super-sweet barbecue sauce. It might be wise to order a salad for your entrée after this cholesterol-fest.
