Ingredients: Eel, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, black masago and seaweed

Skinny: This roll is impressive--big fat chunks of glistening eel wrapped with shrimp and shiitake mushrooms. There was a problem, however--the big fat chunks of glistening eel. Little bitty chunks of eel tastefully hidden in rice are tolerable, but this was like the lost appendage of some murky bog man pulled shrunken and preserved from a prehistoric tar pit. It was, in short, immodest and unsettling. On the other hand, if you're crazy about eel, you'll be in nirvana. The connection between the Ravens theme and the roll, though, is tenuous, at best--unless, of course, it has something to do with missing appendages.--Robert Jacobs
