Lobster mac and cheese with essence of black truffle at Timothy Dean Bistro

Ingredients: A butter-poached Maine lobster, sprinkled with essence of black truffle is plopped on macaroni, which is topped with obscene amounts of cheese: Parmesan reggiano, cheddar, St. Andre, Velveeta and smoked gouda. Somewhere in the world, a Lactose-intolerant is crying.
Damage: $34 for an entrée, $19 for an appetizer (shown)
Skinny: This creamy version of the casual dish was wonderfully soupy, and the entrée size is topped with an entire lobster, making it the perfect blend of calories and wallet-crunching seafood treats. The result is a dish that's so undeniably delicious that people will freely offer up their first born for a taste of it—and judging from the price tag, they'll basically have to.—Jen Bunty
