Friend or pho?

And, because the place is called Baltimore Pho, we couldn't leave without trying some of its signature dish. You can order pho with rare or well-done beef, meatballs, a combination of the two or chicken. For this outing, the winner was the well-done beef.
A steaming bowl of pho was set on the table, along with two plates of accouterments including cilantro, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce and an uber-hot red sauce. Just give it a stir after each addition, the server advised, which we took to heart. It's kind of like a choose your own adventure soup!
Eater beware: Pho's base is broth and noodles, and while both are easily eaten with chopsticks, it is not possible to do so graciously. Just saying.
