Ryleigh's
Ingredients: Two chewy pretzels are the base for a layer of thick crab dip under a well intentioned heap of melted cheeses. The Ryleigh's pretzel is then dusted heavily with Old Bay.
Damage: $10
Skinny: We love Old Bay. It's unfortunate, though, that on this visit it seemed more like it was a cover-up for an otherwise lacking pretzel. How could this double pretzel combo possibly go wrong? Well, both pretzels could be rawhide chewy, and the dip could be cold. Granted, we did snap some photos so you could see the pretzel. That could be a factor that contributed to the cooling of our pretzel. Also, it seems that we caught Ryleigh's with their pants down. When we were there, the manager was running about instructing his staff and carrying a silver mixing bowl of diced vegetables helping prep for the evening. This pretzel had a lot of potential, though. It definitely deserves another chance.—Mark Gross
