A few months ago a good friend had taken me to Jong Kak. Once I entered the restaurant we were greeted with a happy face and a smile. The waitress asked us if we were going to have bbq, to which replied yes. (there are two seating areas) Once we ordered our food a steady flow of ban-chan, and raw meat were brought out. Here @ Jong Kak if you ordered bbq the food is brought out raw and is cooked in front of you over a charcoal fire. Other places dont do this which is one of the main reasons I go to Jong Kak. The good is cooked fast, and the charcoal adds a very nice flavor to the already flavorful meat. The wait staff is friendly and fast, bringing you more side dishes, and of course drinks as soon as they run dry. If this is your first time to a korean style restaurant, and you're of drinking age, be sure to try some Hite beer. Just to tell you how good it is, I now order this beer from NJ as I cant find it anywhere in MD. All in all this place is great! Fresh food, clean environment, and an all around great and friendly staff makes this experience one you'll never want to forget, and wanting to come back to once you leave the door
