This pizza joint/college bar suffers from a bit of an identity crisis; it tries to be too many things at once. While the house specialty risottos are good and satisfying, the square (get it?) thin-crust pizza is only OK. Luckily, the cocktail and beer lists are long and thirst-quenching. Its location—in one of B'more's more unsavory areas—may strike some as odd and out-of-the-way, but Joe's caters mainly to the ever-growing MICA crowd.
