The Hawaiian fusion restaurant opens for lunch with fresh items

On June 15, Roy's Restaurant in Harbor East does something it's never done before—it opens for lunch. Despite tight finances across Baltimore, the country and the world, Roy's timing makes sense. If our parking pains are any indication, the mid-day population in the still-growing neighborhood seems to be as large, if not larger, than ever. And the demographic occupying those upscale offices, high-end hotels and ritzy condominiums should have no qualms paying more than the $3 we typically drop on an afternoon Lean Cuisine. Our normal lunch, however, pales in comparison to Roy's new menu, and the ambiance of our cube, if you can call it "ambiance," feels more like a Russian gulag now than it ever has. Thanks for that, Roy's.
