Even this high-priced 'hood offers dining deals

It seems as if Mount Vernon thinks it's too good to have food specials during a recession. While the rest of the country is suffering through one of its most tumultuous economic setbacks, Mount Vernon's restaurants are apparently making money hand over fist. Restaurants across the country are falling by the wayside because they refuse to see the writing on the wall. That said, there are those courageous restaurants that are compassionate enough to provide food specials to the suffering people of Baltimore. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but after staying in the house for three weeks straight, most people are ready to eat their neighbor's garbage before cooking for themselves. So for those restaurants that still don't get it, take a look at these specials and offer us some better-priced food. For those restaurants that do get it, we celebrate you.
