Greene Turtle
Wings 'n' things: A small order nets eight wings, a few celery stalks and a large amount of blue cheese dressing. (All orders for this Smackdown were small with hot sauce.)
Hot stuff: The plate arrived with a good distribution of five drumettes to three double-bone pieces. (We like drumettes better than double-bone pieces. Drumsticks are much easier to eat. We are slobs.) The decently meaty wings weren't covered in much sauce, so heat level was low. There was a strong afterburn in our throat after finishing each wing, though.
Investment: Fear The Turtle's pricing strategy. Eight wings cost $7.79.
Bottom line: These are serviceable wings, but the price is high. Would we serve them at a Super Bowl party? If teams we didn't care about were playing, yes.
