Dead Freddies
Wings 'n' things: We received nine wings when we were supposed to receive 10. Otherwise, it was the standard celery and blue cheese dressing sides. (Can't somebody break out of the routine and offer new sides? Cornbread? Carrots? Nacho Cheese Pretzel Combos? Hello, is this microphone on?)
Hot stuff: These are some of the best tasting wings we sampled for this smackdown. The sauce was tangy and a little sweet. The meat on the bone was tender, though small in quantity. We received six drumettes, so that's a thumbs up. The spiciness and the afterburn were low, which awards Freddies' wings a high snackable rating in our ledger. We also noted the wings weren't very messy.
Investment: Dead Fred was reasonable at $8 for 10 wings. We would have complained a lot more about being shorted one wing, but by this point in our wing Smackdown our stomachs were planning a revolt.
Bottom line: Frankly, we were surprised how much we enjoyed Freddie's wings. Our low count aside, these are some of the best in Baltimore. The next time the Ravens get to the Super Bowl, we are ordering these for our party.

Mix the blue cheese with some 1000 island dressing tastes great for dipping the wings!
