Broccoli, watercress and toasted almonds
Amanda: As the representative vegetarian on the soup-tasting team, I felt almost obliged to like this soup, and darn near responsible for its shortcomings. Unfortunately, I hate broccoli. (The smell has always reminded me of sweaty socks.) This soup tastes like broccoli. A lot of it. Minced and ready to choke down. It did not taste like almonds. No sirree. Even worse, I'm pretty sure my skin put off a faint broccoroma later.

Mark: If you've been in search of a warm broccoli smoothie, you've found it. I, however, have not. The pureed broccoli offers few hints of watercress and fewer still of almond. The thick green mass is best-suited to ride atop the crostini Soup's On serves, which offers a bit of crunch to the otherwise mushy offering.
