Spinach, parsley and lemon

Amanda: Here's a suggestion for the Soup's On folks: Put some spinach leaves in your spinach soup. Yeah, spinach is well-represented, but it's all been blended out of recognition and into a thin, albeit lemony, runny mass of greenness. Popeye might dig. I dig not. Toot, toot.

Mark: Honestly, the Soup's On experience was an enjoyable one. The spinach soup had little to do with that, though. There's nothing interesting about this cup of thin, green liquid. It lacked texture and flavor. Some sautéed spinach leaves may have been a good start.
