Fresh peach sundae

First impression: The Maryland Foods Pavilion hosted the most pleasant surprise of the Fair. The fresh peach sundae lived up to each component of its tripartite name. The fresh peaches were fresh, indeed. The vanilla tasted vanilla (quite difficult to mess that up). The whipped topping was light and did not overwhelm the peach flavor. This was a refreshing intermission from the heavier fare.
Fair damage: Only $4.50 for this sundae. In the self-contained world of the Fair, you can get a lot less for a lot more (and we did).
Midway mood: The sundae was a welcome change of pace, especially on a warm day. It was our favorite food of the Fair. Is this a bounce in our step? Oops, no. We just rolled an ankle on an uneven curb.
