Riptide by the Bay's steamed crabs
$2 crabs
The Baltimore summer tradition of picking some steamed crabs while drinking beers with your friends is so good, it's become a cliche. The only thing better is when the crabs are cheap. Well, on Tuesday nights, Riptide by the Bay has a great crab deal for you. You can hunker down for quality time with some Old Bay-covered goodness at $2 a pop. Anyone who has ordered crabs lately realizes what a deal that is. Crabs today can cost more than $100 a dozen, so at $24 a dozen you know it's a bargain. These crabs aren't little meatless guys either, although they are not sea monsters by any means. They're heavy for their size and six to eight crabs would do a person well. Just add some Pabst tall boys and you have yourself a party. Riptide also has a crab dip that everyone agreed had to be mentioned. It was mostly crab meat with just enough cream cheese to keep it together. But you'll want to come for the steamed crabs. It's a deal that can't be missed.
