La Tavola
♥Best of Navigating Little Italy
The interior of La Tavola is tasteful and upscale, with painted brick and marble and gold highlights. The restaurant seemed quiet, with barely audible classical music playing when we were there, but we imagine a Saturday night gets pretty noisy. The pre-meal bread comes out warm and is served with extra-virgin olive oil. The sauces are rich and delicious and you can tell the pasta is fresh. Yes, this isn't the cheapest place in our mid-range group, but Tavola isn't jacking the prices up unfairly. For what you pay, you'll get a great experience.
Mid-range: $12 to $18 for a plate of pasta
