Crab fries at Hightopps Backstage Grille
Ingredients: Hightopps' Crab fries are a big honkin' plate of fries, just completely Nagasaki-ed with a thin, creamy crab dip, piled up with Jack and Cheddar cheeses and sprinkled with my most favoritest of spices, Old Bay.
Damage: $8.95
Skinny: So maybe this combo doesn't sound appetizing, but you get a few forkfuls of this stuff and you'll change your tune. Yes, I'm talking about fries here. And, yes, I said forkful. Look, there is only so much you can grab with your dirty little fingers before there's nothing dry left on the plate. Trust me, you need a fork for this one. The fries aren't as crispy as I'd have liked (I know, I know they're drowned in crab dip, but I'm talking about the ones peeking out at the edges). I also heard complaints that the dip was too salty, but I loved it, and was more than happy to stop sharing with those ungrateful malcontents.—Mark Gross
