Crab and artichoke dip at Mama's on the Half Shell

Ingredients: This is a bread bowl filled with Gouda, Boursin, Cheddar, Swiss and cream cheeses. I assume there was crab and artichoke in there somewhere, although I never actually witnessed any. The dip is served with crackers, carrots and celery, but the bread from the bowl by far provides the best dipping option.

Skinny: Cheese-lover—meet your demise. I know it's nowhere in the title, but it's everywhere in the taste. With five different kinds of cheese, the crab and the artichoke had about the same chance of survival as a guppy in a piranha tank. Unlike most of its crab app brethren, it looked much yummier than it actually was. For those with just an average cheese obsession, this goes way overboard. I was more disappointed than the first time I met Big Bird and he was just ... not that big.—Jen Bunty
