The dips at Kali's Mezze
Ingredients: Kali's offers a ton of warm dips. It has tzatziki (a mix of yogurt, roasted garlic, cucumber, dill and olive oil), tarama (cured cod roe dip), hummus (chick peas, garlic and cumin), baba ghanoush (eggplant, tahini and garlic), tapenade (ground Mediterranean olive spread) and lots more. This is all served with a bowl of warm pita bread.
Damage: $5-to-$9 per dip
Skinny: The first few bites of tzatziki are light and creamy, but keep eating and the strong garlic taste begins to overwhelm. Tarama is only for those people who like their food really fishy. The hummus was probably the best out of this selection, but, like the tzatziki, the garlic tends to dominate. Baba ghanoush was a little bland. Stop by for these dips if you like lots of garlic and plenty of spices.
