L.P. Steamers
L.P. Steamers is not dedicated to fancy decor. L.P. Steamers is dedicated to good crabs. Any of the servers at Steamers can provide a list of prices at a moment's notice. The list indicates how many of each size are available as well as prices by the dozen and individually. The regulars we tried were served hot and fresh, and the seasoning was thickly plastered from claw to flipper.
Show up in May to enjoy the rooftop deck. Steamers has only Miller Lite, Coors Light, Yeungling and Sam Adams on draft, and serves them in tiny 12-oz. cups. Pitchers, however, are cheap at $7 dollars. Snag a rooftop table and pitcher and order up some crabs. You will not be sorry.
Origin: Later in the season, Steamers gets crabs from the Bay when possible. The crabs we tasted came from Louisiana.
Spices: L.P. Steamers keeps it in the abbreviated brotherhood and uses J.O. Spices brand of seasoning (an Old Bay-like blend available online, if you want to DIY).
Prices per dozen: Small: $60, Medium: $70, Large: $80 (Dine-in only)
(Prices should remain the same. Availability will change.)
