Crispy pork meatball noodle bowl at Jack's Bistro
Ingredients: Pork meatballs, udon noodles and julienned vegetables in a yellow curry broth
Damage: $17.75
Jack's Bistro is an extension of most living rooms in Canton, with its eclectic décor, staff members that look like friends and the almost certain guarantee of running into someone you know.
There's nothing more soothing than a big, warm bowl of noodles as the weather turns bitter, and Jack's steps it up with a mild yellow curry broth and (of course) crispy pork meatballs. Served in a monstrous bowl with chopsticks, this is like noodle soup for the soul but with the added bonus of crispy pork meatballs, which, by the way, are so big they have to be cut in half before being devoured. We thought $17.75 was a little steep for this dish, but the portion turned out to be more than enough to take home for a little late-night comfort. After all: If there's anything better than comfort food, it's knowing you have leftover comfort food waiting at home.
