Your local Starbucks isn't hosting live music or DJs on a Monday night, but that's exactly what we encountered at Teavolve. At first, we balked at the concept of paying a $10 cover when all we were planning to do was have dinner and drinks. We were assured, though, that "the show will be very good." We forked over our cash, and were entertained that evening by Atlanta alternative/hip-hop/jazz group Jaspects. These guys sang, danced and spun like the Temptations all while playing musical instruments. Not to mention they looked sharp in their matching suits, and did an awesome cover of E.U.'s "Da Butt." It was "sexy, sexy." We were enthralled. In addition to special events like the one we stumbled upon, which was sponsored by radio station WEAA 88.9 FM, Teavolve has live music Friday and Saturday nights.
