Atmosphere

Mod with a modern twist is how Allison Allen describes the café/parlor's vibe. Long and narrow like a Federal Hill rowhouse, E61 devotes most of its space to its bright green, polished metal counter, which displays two rows of teas, a small pastry case, a jar of Andes mints and, of course, the E61 espresso machine. Two tables in the front and one in the back work for anyone wanting to tap into E61's free Wi-Fi. For the best people-watching, grab a seat on the comfortable, curved wooden bench out front.
