Atmosphere

We were happy to see that while a lot has been renovated at the restaurant at the Exchange, much of the charm of the old space remains, right down to the black-and-white checkerboard flooring and the deco-looking aluminum light fixtures. The two fireplaces don't work anymore, but they still remain and are filled with tiny, white Christmas lights. Work by local artists stretch along the wall. With its white-linen tables and pretty glassware, the space no longer feels like a cafeteria. Instead Dogwood is the kind of place where you might want to linger over your lunch (when the boss isn't paying attention).
