Impressed Cafe
Impressed Cafe is relatively new on the downtown deli scene, but signs are good that it will stay around for awhile. The menu isn't particularly broad, but what it does it does well, and specials sometimes offer great breaks from the traditional turkey sub diet of the deli-goer. (Also, sweet potato fries. Yum.) The owners were working when we were there, and they proved both friendly and quick. Definitely one of the nicest retreats from the gray governmental bustle outside.
Crowd: With a location nestled in the center of Baltimore's courthouse and government building area, Impressed does business with government workers, police, guards, jurors and the bureaucratic drones who keep the city running, but hasn't gotten overly busy yet.
Seating: The dining room is cute and tastefully decorated with earth tones and bric-a-brac and even a few comfy cushioned chairs.
