Baked mussels at Aloha Sushi
Credit:Amanda Krotki
The bill: $3.95 for four pieces
The dish: Four ridiculously large mussels covered in a creamy orange sauce, oddly reminiscent of the stuff you find slathered on a Japanese side salad. Served baked in the shell
The scoop: These monsters at Aloha go down smoothly and, though they seem potentially scary, they're actually quite tasty. They're so big, though, that we each only wanted one. We imagine it would be hard to suck back four of these.
Get your money's worth? If you're hunting for some seriously gargantuan mussels, then, by all means, yes.—Amanda Krotki
