We've got beef
Just because you've got a thirst for blood doesn't mean you need to join the military. Satisfy your craving with a week's worth of burger specials.

Monday
The food at Hull Street Blues never disappoints, so you can count on quality from its $5 burger. If you're the frugal type— which you must be, since you're reading this—you might wanna head to Harbor East where James Joyce's burger is only $4.75. You know what they say: "A quarter saved is a quarter earned."

Tuesday
If Firehouse Tavern's $3 burgers aren't enough to lure you to the county, don't fret. Mother's in Federal Hill and Kooper's in Fells both grill half-priced burgers for those who heart city life.

Wednesday
If you didn't make it to the Green Turtle in Fells for its $3 burger special on Monday, then catch the encore every Wednesday. Hump day really piles the patties high, though, offering up half-priced burger options all over town. Try Drifter's and pair it with a $1 Coors Light, Camden Pub for a $3 Magic Hat or head to J.D.'s Smokehouse where the happy hour special makes all beers just $2.

Thursday
Shuckers isn't all oysters and slimy raw bar treats. It serves a pretty mean burger, too. It's not quite as mean on Thursdays, though, since burgers are half-priced all day long. Actually, we'd consider that pretty nice.

Friday
Two places that serve ultra-cheap burgers Monday through Friday are McCormick and Schmick's and Skybox. The two-drink minimum imposed by each establishment seems far less offensive once you realize that the burgers cost less than $2. True, fast food restaurants offer similar deals (for less succulent, preservative-laden fare), but what those places lack is ice cold beer.

Saturday
When we scoured Baltimore for cheap patties, we worried that Saturday might present a problem. Who gives food away on Saturdays? Thank goodness, then, for Claddagh Pub, where half-priced burgers are available from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday
The deal at Red Star isn't discounted burgers, it's $8 all-you-can-drink bloodies and mimosas. Why waste our breathe, you ask? Because Red Star's good burger isn't called "good burger" for nothing. At $10.50, it's a relatively inexpensive work of art topped with smoked applewood bacon, portabello mushroom and garlic aoli and served with home fries.
