As the crow flies, it's approximately 22 miles from the Inner Harbor of Baltimore to Ego Alley in downtown Annapolis. While both cities offer a distinct culture and atmosphere, they share several commonalities beyond boats and crabs; most notably some restaurants that seem to be popular in both destinations.

While these four venues originated in Annapolis, they've enjoyed success in Baltimore, as well. But when it comes down to it, can the offspring of Annapolis mainstays stack up against the originals? We compare four Naptown institutions with their B-more counterparts on the grounds of menu, crowd, vibe and overall appeal.
