Turn on the tube any night of the week and you'll be inundated with all kinds of scary apocalyptic scenarios—melting polar ice-caps, rising sea levels, scorching drought, global super storms. It's enough to make you want to start building a fallout shelter. But while environmental degradation is a real and urgent concern, it's also important to remember that there are a lot of people out there working hard to fix these problems.
