These days, there are a lot of ways to make yourself a little famous, like posting a hot clip on YouTube, collecting thousands of MySpace friends or whoring yourself out on a reality show. But honestly, how much hard work does any of that involve? Besides, fame like that is fleeting. Today's Obama Girl is tomorrow's Julie Gentry (an MTV's "The Real World" OG). No, you want to be infamous, not just merely famous.

What better way to achieve fame than by consuming large quantities of food and getting your name and picture posted on a restaurant's Wall of Fame or on its Web site? All you have to do is eat something like a burger the size of a beagle or a steak as big as your head. (Side note: Why is it that at most of these places, you have to eat a lot of meat to qualify for the Wall of Fame? Why doesn't someone have an award for chowing down on a trough of Caesar salad or a drum of green beans?)

Metromix found five places where you can achieve gastronomic fame, so don't fill up on bread before your meal.
