For a truly historic experience, grab a drink and a bite to eat in one of the oldest restaurant and pubs in Ellicott City. Built in 1833 as a tavern and country inn, this was a popular resting stop for train travelers. The train made its last run in 1955, and the building was converted into a general store and tavern. In 1972, after Tropical Storm Agnes flooded Ellicott City, new owners moved in to restore the old building and turn it into a restaurant. Several renovations later, The Trolley Stop has become a local favorite.
