Pizza tastes cheap and poorly made - tomato paste is the sauce??? cheese is horrible.
Filet Mignon sandwich great - good bang for buck
Interesting spot - quiet back room, hoppin front rooms

The architecture and number of areas to explore is quite fascinating. If you like to explore then go all the way upstairs and check out the hunting lodge style banquet rooms.
The burgers are top notch. One of the best in town In my opinion. They have 1/2 price burgers and wings during Monday Night Football too. Nice! Oh, and the fish tacos are much better than they sound. No, really!

Awesome architecture, spacious bars and a friendly vibe make this one of my favorite watering holes in Baltimore. The tavern does a great job with the steaks - Iburgers are great and the steak sandwich with thin sliced Filet mignon and caramelized onions served on a crusty roll is the hidden treasure on this menu.
As a rule of thumb with the Tavern, I would say stick to the beef and chicken and avoid anything that lives underwater.

I
loved the look of the place and the atmosphere- mainly the main dining room
where the roof
opens up. However I wasn't very impressed with the food.
I got the Eggs Norfolk- Poached eggs with Smithfield ham and jumbo lumpcrab on
an English
muffin, topped with hollandias. The eggs could have been cooked more, the crab
was very
cold and the english muffin wasn't very good.
I am not sure if the the food wasn't its best because of the holiday and
busyness.
