VHS or Beta at Ottobar

The April 10 VHS or Beta show started off with local electro band Mir & The Moon. They played various versions of bleeps and blips to a receptive, but thin crowd. By the time Brooklyn band Tigercity took the stage, the Ottobar had gotten considerably more busy. The crowd, especially the first couple rows, showed their enthusiasm for the band with dancing, yelling, and one particular fan who felt the need to acknowledge the lead singer as a long lost friend; the singer wasn't bothered in the least. VHS or Beta took the stage to a rousing applause, which encouraged the band many times throughout the night. There was also tons of dancing from the crowd. —Ryan Detter
