Baltimore's J Roddy Walston and The Business held a CD release party at The Ottobar March 2. Japanese circus-metal band Peelander-Z was also on hand. The club was packed, the music was loud and Peelander-Z's performance had to be seen to be believed. To a soundtrack of crunching metal, Peelander-Z simulated a cartoonish acid nightmare, complete with boogers, bat wings, a 30-piece percussion set and a human bowling pin. Many of the fans in the crowd came prepared with body armor. The Milwaukees and Bebes d'Oeufs (a.k.a Egg Babies) opened. --Andy Cook
