'Jesus Walks'

At the 2005 Grammy Awards, West stirred up some controversy—and ridicule—with a performance of "Jesus Walks" in which he staged his death and appeared reincarnated as an angel. It was the first of many elaborate performances that would earn West a reputation as both a killer showman and a boundless egomaniac.
