Double Dagger record release at Floristree

Local punk heroes Double Dagger hosted the release party for their latest album "More" at Floristree on May 22. They were joined by Baltimore's own Video Hippos and the Brooklyn-based lo-fi band Airwaves. The warehouse venue was hot, crowded and covered in spilled beer: In other words, a perfect setting for the mayhem Double Dagger loves to incite. The crowd thrashed and moshed to songs old and new, pausing only occasionally for the absurdist comic tangents of Double Dagger's frontman Nolen Strals. At one point, Strals took note of the dozens of teenagers in the audience by asking for a show of hands from everyone who'd been dropped off by his dad.—Andy Cook
