Special to Metromix
On Friday, Jan. 30, crowds saw the first festival organized by Baltimore-based music blog Aural States. The concert featured a dozen rock acts from the Baltimore and D.C. region, and the packed crowd of in-the-know rock fans bounced back and forth between two stages to hear local favorites Wye Oak, Arbouretum, Small Sur and others. Coming on the heels of Wham City's Baltimore Round Robin production, Aural States Fest added plenty of credence to the notion that Baltimore's music scene is a force to be reckoned with.
