Gary B & the Notions

As winners of the local band Sound Off! competition, this retro-insipired power-pop group is creating quite a buzz. Drawing many comparisons to Elvis Costello's earlier work, the group may be able to fill the void Costello left years ago. Opening for such acts as Sufjan Stevens and the Hold Steady, we get the notion that these cats have plenty of indie street cred to break out beyond Baltimore.
